Timere is a licensed professional counseling resident and certified prescreener specializing in areas of Counselor Education, Outpatient Therapy, In-Home intervention, Assertive Community Treatment, and Crisis & Emergency Services. With 17 years of experience, she is avid about providing compassionate and evidence-based mental health care and wrap around services. Most recent career path has allowed her to serve the “differently abled” (ID/DD) population, and she finds this to be the highlight and most rewarding of all of her professional experience and overall career.
Timere holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology, both obtained from Virginia Tech, c/o 2006. She attended graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University obtaining a master’s degree in Counselor Education c/o 2010. She utilizes an eclectic treatment and support approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities such as Existential, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral psychotherapies. Her clinical style allows her to tailor treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client with the aims of improved self-awareness, gained insight, reignited determination, and informed choice.
Timere believes that mental health is an integral part of overall well-being. In all of her practices, especially the residential setting, she strives to create a safe, collaborative, and supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges, develop coping mechanisms, and achieve their goals.
